A line, not dots

The LEDs are so closely spaced that they blend into a continuous line. There are no dots or lighter areas, even when viewed up close or in a shallow profile. That’s the difference between “lights on the house” and “the house glowing.”

In a profile, year-round

The COB is mounted in an aluminum profile with a diffuser, manufactured by local partners in the building’s color. IP68-rated and low-voltage, it remains in place twelve months a year. During the day, you see a profile; at night, a line of light.

Installation

How is it installed?

Sketch and mockup

A photo of the facade, a diagram of the areas to be lit, and a simulation to see the result before placing an order.

Channel and Diffuser

The aluminum profile is mounted along the cornice or column; the diffuser softens the light and conceals the strip. Color matches the house.

Tape and Wiring

The COB strip is installed in the channel, cut to length on site. 24-volt wiring runs to the controller, located in the garage or an outdoor enclosure.

Commissioning

COB or Pixel: Which One Should You Choose?

COB lighting produces a continuous, understated, architectural line. Pixel lighting produces distinct dots, each with its own color, for special effects and holiday decorations. Many homes combine the two: COB on the cornices, Pixel on the gables. The installer will show you both in a mockup.

COB or Strip: What's the Difference?

The Strip has spaced LEDs—in a shallow profile, you can make out the individual dots. The COB has hundreds per meter, blended into a continuous line. For a ledge visible from the street, use the COB; for a low wall, a step, or an edge where the profile is deeper, the Strip does the job very well at a lower cost.

Can you tell during the day?

You can see a thin aluminum profile in the same color as the cornice—like a molding. The diffuser completely hides the strip. From the street, most people don't notice it until it turns on.

Can you adjust the intensity and set a schedule?

Yes, just like all IllumiDEL systems: brightness, sunrise and sunset schedules, scenes, remote control, Control4—all from the same app as your Pixels or your Paysager.
