What is the purpose of the IllumiDEL control box?

Are the lights weatherproof?
Yes, IllumiDEL lights are designed for the Canadian climate. Thanks to their IP67 certification, they withstand heavy rain, snow and the harshest seasonal conditions.
How long do they last?
Our LED technology is rated at 50,000 hours of use - or about 20 years of daily lighting. Our COB products are rated at 35,000 hourswhich means many years of reliable performance. What's more, with our 12-year warranty on pixels and accessoriesyou can count on IllumiDEL for the long term.
What is the operating cost?
Much less than you might think. Our systems are extremely efficient, and using them every night usually costs just a few dollars a month.
In fact, they consume less energy than standard recessed lights. A typical recessed light consumes around 100 wattswhile an IllumiDEL light consumes a maximum of 1.33 watts in cool white at full intensity.
With other colors, consumption is even lower, at around 0.6 watt per high-intensity light. For a standard-sized home with approx. 112 lights spread over 75 linear feetlit in cool white at maximum intensity, total consumption would be around 150 wattsless than the equivalent of two traditional recessed fixtures.
How many colors are available?

How do I know if my Wi-Fi is compatible?
Our controller operates on 2.4 GHz Wi-Filike many home automation devices. It doesn't require much bandwidth, and the 2.4 GHz frequency is ideal for covering longer distances. Most modern routers offer both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHznetworks, so in most cases your system will connect without a hitch.
Is the IllumiDEL controller compatible with other products?
Yes, the IllumiDEL controller integrates seamlessly with several popular third-party platforms, including XLights, LEDFX, Home Assistant, Control4, Alexa, IFTTT and Savant. This means you can integrate your lighting into a wider home automation ecosystem and enjoy new ways of controlling and personalizing it.
